Weber Fibertech is expanding its range of processed materials for the first time to include honeycomb cores made of thermoplastic. The high-strength yet ultra-light basic material is the ideal basis for a new generation of components. Specifically, automotive parts are manufactured using the vacuum deep drawing process. In addition to deep drawing, work steps such as ultrasonic welding and contour generation are carried out, resulting in a complete component with welded-on elements. With this new technology, Weber Fibertech is following its motto “Technologies for a lighter future”.
