JEC World is the leading trade show for the global composites industry. For around 25 years, composites professionals from all over the world have been flocking to Paris to exchange ideas and experiences on the subject of innovative lightweight design technologies and composites for a whole range of applications including aerospace, building and civil engineering, medical, and automotive.
The wait is over
Although the industry usually meets here in March, the last time was back in 2019 – the events scheduled for 2020 and 2021 had to be canceled due to Covid-19. The organizer has just announced their intention to stage a new edition, albeit only from May 3-5. This provisional date obviously depends on how the pandemic situation develops in the coming weeks and months. However, let’s be optimistic that the endless wait for the next family gathering at the Parc des Expositions in Paris is finally over.
A step towards normalcy
It goes without saying that Weber Fibertech will be traveling to the French capital as an exhibitor. “We’re glad that things are finally getting underway again and we’re eagerly looking forward to the trade fair, which is so important for us and our industry,” says Friedbert Schmitt, Managing Director of the Markdorf-based lightweight design specialist. We’ve been hungering for the chance to show innovative solutions from Lake Constance and present our long fiber thermoplastic technology again at long last. Not least, it’s an opportunity to revive longstanding contacts and make new ones. “It’s a step toward normalcy,” he adds. “For us as well as for our customers.”
Hybrid format
For the first time, the trade show will be organized as a hybrid event, in other words there will also be a digital platform parallel to the in-person exhibition in Paris. According to the JEC website, JEC World Connect will be an augmented digital experience. We can’t wait to find out.
We’re looking forward to welcoming many visitors to our booth Q73 in Hall 6 for some interesting and inspiring conversations. Feel free to drop by.
